How much does RADAR cost?

RADAR costs $9.95 per month for one child, and $14.95 for a family plan (4 children) which includes free technical support is included. There are no contracts to sign, and you can cancel at any time.

Will my children know that I am monitoring him/her with RADAR?

Yes, the phone will display a message once a day letting the child know.

How do I explain RADAR to my child?

We recommend that you let your child know that RADAR tracks all text messages, phone calls,
emails and picture messages. RADAR alerts parents whenever their child communicates with
a stranger, or someone not approved by the parents. As your child grows older, parental monitoring
can become a sensitive issue. Only you can decide how much monitoring you choose to perform.

Do you save my child's text messages?

Yes, while most cell phone companies delete all text messages after 10 days or less, RADAR saves all of your child's cell phone communications for as long as you have a RADAR account. We allow you to filter, search, export and print all communication for your records.

Can I read the text messages?

Yes, you can read text messages both sent and received.

Can I block numbers?

RADAR does not block any communication on your child's phone. Studies have shown that blocking has limited value (1). We believe in monitoring communication and giving parents a tool to guide their children's use of cell phones. You want your child to be able to reach you in an emergency. A blocked phone can inherently limit your child's ability to do that.

Can I see picture messages sent to my child's phone?

Yes, if a photo is sent to your child you can view the picture from your RADAR website (2). If an inappropriate image is discovered, please notify the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Address Book

RADAR maintains a copy of your child's address book in the web account for easy access to your child's friends in case of an emergency.

Calendar/Tasks

RADAR lets you send tasks, reminders and calendar events to your child's cell phone.

Phone Refresh

If your child loses his or her cell phone, RADAR is able to send a command to the phone and delete all records, keeping your child's personal information safe. When your child gets a new phone, all of their information is already saved in the RADAR account and can be easily sent to the new phone.
